The General Bureau of Statistics (ABS) announces that its monthly publication CONSUMER PRICE INDEX FIGURES AND INFLATION (in the present case for the month of JUNE) will NOT be published on today’s scheduled date of Thursday 30 July 2020, but on Monday 3 August 2020.
This is due to work delays that incurred after the ABS head office had to close in the period of July 23-28 for thorough disinfection because an ABS employee was tested positive for COVID- 19. The building has since been disinfected and cleaned and work resumed yesterday.
We ask you to await further communication from the ABS/GBS in this regard. You will be able to learn these messages: via the ABS website: www.statistics-suriname.org or via the Facebook page of the General Bureau of Statistics.
